Homey Skin products are very unlikely to cause adverse reactions, but if irritation occurs, discontinue use immediately.

With over 30 years of experience, our manufacturers specialise in salon-grade skincare, using the highest-quality ingredients—certified organic where possible and naturally derived.
They hold:

- Cosmetic Goods Manufacturing Practice (USA) Certification

This means our skincare is made with integrity, to the highest global standards.
Can I Use Homey Skin While Pregnant or Breastfeeding?
We do not recommend using our Retinol Repair Night Serum while pregnant or breastfeeding. The rest of our range is safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
What Is Your Skincare Made From?
Our skincare is:
- 100% vegan and cruelty-free
- Free from sulfates, parabens, ethoxylates, propylene glycol, petrochemical cleansers, phthalates, and DEA
- Formulated without artificial colours or fragrances, mineral oil, lanolin, S.D. alcohol, or micro-plastics
Are Your Ingredients Natural or Organic?
Some of our ingredients are organic certified. On the back labels you will see an * on every certified organic ingredient.
99.5% of our ingredients are natural A tiny percentage of tiny percentage of non-natural components are necessary for product performance and safety.
Where Is Your Skincare Made?
Our entire skincare range is made in Australia, known for producing premium, professional-quality formulations.
What’s the Shelf Life?
Most of our products contain no preservatives or only natural ones. Once opened, the shelf life is 6–12 months, depending on the product.
Check the PAO (Period After Opening) symbol on the packaging—it looks like an open jar with a number and “M” (e.g., 6M = 6 months).
How Should I Store My Skincare?
Store in a cool place, away from heat and direct light—especially important for serums to prevent oxidation.
Always follow product-specific storage instructions.

Your Skin May Be Purging
Breakouts after starting new products? Don’t panic—your skin might be purging.
This is common when using exfoliants or retinoids, which speed up cell turnover. It helps clear out congestion from deeper layers, sometimes resulting in temporary breakouts or clusters of small red bumps. These usually clear up in about 5 days, unlike regular pimples which can take 8–10 days.
Not sure if it's a purge or a reaction?
If you experience redness, burning, stinging, rashes, or widespread irritation, stop using the product immediately—those are signs of an allergic reaction, not purging.
Are Your Bottles Recyclable?
Absolutely.
- Our bottles and disc caps are 100% recyclable
- Labels are printed with safe inks and adhesives
- We use Type 1 PET plastic (made from already existing plastic)
- Accepted in kerbside recycling bins across Aotearoa
Just remove the label, rinse, and recycle!

By ditching single-box product packaging, we keep costs low for you and reduce waste.
Orders are shipped in plant-based compostable or recycled plastic courier bags, and packed with eco wrap, recyclable tissue, compostable packing peanuts, and occasionally reused bubble wrap from incoming stock.
Why do we bother? Cause we all need to seriously start giving a sh*t about the environment as business owners and as consumers.
